As economist Paul Zane Pilzer pointed out in one of his books, Fat is the mark of the new second-class citizen — sad, but true. It used to be that wealthy people were referred to as “Fat Cats”, but now, it is more common for the new class of millionaires and billionaires to have the time, information, and inclination to protect themselves and their families from the new epidemic of fat-causing foods and lifestyle.
Now, it is the poor and middle class who subsist mostly on fat-causing fast foods and snacks — and they are being robbed of years of their lives.
Fat is the visible mark of a new caste system throughout the world.
Fatness is the visible proof that a new form of slavery has taken hold in the world — a slavery to processed foods.
We call a person an “addict” when they continue some behavior or another to the detriment of their health. So what better name could we call a behavior that slowly but surely entices millions of people to continue to eat foods that slowly turn them from healthy slim children into fat, unhealthy adults?
What this country and this world needs is a war on fat. A crusade by the people to share information and products that can free the majority who wish to be free of fat.
As in any addiction, there is an business opportunity on both sides — feeding the addiction and releasing the victims from its clutches.
For entrepreneurs who want a “sure thing” and have a million dollars to invest, buying a fast food franchise is the ticket to a guaranteed income.
Surprisingly, entrepreneurs with more of a social conscience can invest less than a thousand dollars and own a far more profitable business based on providing proven products and information that free people from fast food addiction.
One of the key reasons why average people stuck in a job grow fat over time is that their job demands them to adopt a sedentary lifestyle that for almost half of their waking hours.
It is easy to develop a habit of hungrily grabbing some fattening convenience food on the way to or from work, so thorough is the necessity of maintaining the income to provide for themselves and their family, if they even have one.
The lack of free time and the energy to devote to maintaining or regaining personal fitness is a major lock on the prison that holds overweight people.
Now, let’s be honest: We all have the same amount of time. It is each persons choice to what use they will put their hours.
Will they collapse in front of the TV after work with some fast food and a beer, or will they decide to fix some healthy food and take a relaxing walk around the neighborhood?
Our choices determine who we become…and how much we weigh.
What is needed throughout the modern world is a clear realization of how we are being enslaved by our employers and the manufacturers of our foods, beverages, and snacks. Then, too, there is the medical/pharmaceutical cartel, perched like hungry vultures, waiting to help us stay well enough to remain in the workforce long enough to afford some kind of meager retirement — if we live that long.
When we see clearly that our food has been created to encourage us to eat too much — and that getting fat is only the tip of the iceberg as far as the health consequences of a diet filled with too much fat, sugar, and flavor-enhancing additives that are believed to be causing the epidemic of lifestyle diseases we suffer — the only sensible choice is revolution.
The war has already begun. The only question for you is, “Which side are you going to be on?”
If you are toting around more fat than you’d like, let me show you how to get rid of it — and get on the winning side of this battle.
