Developing a fat burning mindset is the secret for achieving natural, permanent fat loss.

Depending on how much fat you have to lose, you may have to install a brand new set of habits.

Most of these new habits come down to two things:

Becoming more physically active

Changing the way you fuel your body

One thing you’ll hear over and over — because it is true — is, “You need to build more muscle to burn more calories.”

So, “becoming more physically active” has two parts: Aerobic exercise and strength training.

Strength training builds muscle to burn more fat. The more muscles you have, the more fat-burners you have working for you day & night.

Now, ladies, you don’t have to go to extremes to achieve fat burning muscles. You just need to build a little muscular structure to keep some tone, so the skin on your arms and legs won’t start sagging as you get older.

But Here’s the KEY: You Need More Energy To Change Your Habits!

Chances are, you have been doing one or both of these components to fat burning incorrectly.

I know it is easy to get into the habit of driving everywhere you need to go. You probably are super-busy and, when you’re in a hurry to get somewhere, the tendency is to jump in the car and go.

Then, when you finally arrive home, there is supper to prepare, chores to do, spending time with the kids and spouse, etc.

You may feel a serious need to decompress in front of some mindless boob-tube sitcoms! I understand.

The less you do, physically, the less you can do.

One easy way is to get up earlier and go for a half-hour jog in the morning before things get chaotic. This will pump you up for the day like you won’t believe.

Another way is to find opportunities to get exercise as you go about your day:

Take the stairs, not the elevator!

Park a quarter mile from work and get in a brisk walk.

Walk briskly wherever you go. Get in the habit of moving energetically.

About this time — if you’re still with me — you may be saying, “But I don’t have the energy to do anything extra!”
